5 Stars The Greatest Zelda Game so Far
It’s a rare occasion in the video game industry when a game series consistently manages to top itself one game after the next, but that’s exactly what Nintendo manages to do with the Zelda franchise. I thought Ocarina of Time would never be dethroned as my favorite game of all time, but Twilight Princess is actually better. Started as a GameCube title, this action-RPG really shines with the Wii controls. Slashing your sword, shooting arrows, and especially fishing are both rewarding and accurately mapped to the Wiimote, and let’s not forget the graphics. Ever since the days of the N64, Zelda has become a benchmark for the graphics power of Nintendo’s systems. True, it has GameCube graphics, but so much time and effort went into creating this living, breathing world that minor jaggies aren’t that big a deal. We are already seeing the full graphics potential of the system with upcoming games like Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Anyway, the story is dark for a Zelda game, which I love, the characters are fantastic, and the action never stops! The levels are so detailed, I have regularly run across random hidden holes and gone spelunking for nearly an hour, finding all kinds of hidden treasures and fighting spiders and other creatures. Another great feature of this game is the length, this is definitely the longest Zelda game ever, and you can literally find things to do for months after you buy it. Do yourself a favor, if you buy a Wii, you HAVE to buy this game, as it’s a masterpiece.
5 Stars Best Zelda Game Yet!!!!!
The Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess (TP) is a perfect game with only a few minor flaws. I got it back in Dcember 06 and I’m still not tired of it. This game is very similar to Ocarnia of Time.Graphics- Amazing. This game could pass for Xbox 360. The environments and dungeons are beautiful and detailed. There are only a few tiny glicthes. Many people think the Wii doesn’t have good graphics, but I don’t think that. I think people think that because developers aren’t taking advantange of the good graphics the Wii can have. TP is the first game I’ve seen that actually takes advantage of them.Controls- probably the games weak point, but they’re not too bad. They take a long time to get used to. To control the sword, you slash the remote like a sword. It’s really fun and easy. The negative about the controls are the nunchuck. When you make a thrust motion to do a sheild attack, Link often does a spiral sword attack(move the nunchuck side to side or in a circle) instead. In order to preform the sheild attack, you need to make your movement extremely clear, which is a little annoying. The wolf controls are confusing because you need to slash the remote like a sword. It sounds simple, but it’s not. It’s confusing because the wolf doesn’t have a sword. If he doesn’t have a sword then why do I need to slash??? Other than that the controls are pretty good.

Gameplay- Outstanding. Basic Zelda gameplay. One of my favorite parts of TP is that you can play as Wolf Link. It is a blast and the wolf is amazing. The baddies are hard to fight as a wolf (you don’t have a sheild or sword and you can’t use items), especially ones in the air. I know this sounds silly, but I often find myself giving up on defeating the baddies and just running away as Wolf Link. Battles are pretty easy and fun as regular Link. Battles are difficult and frusturating on horseback because you always miss the enemies. You often need to take a few seconds to turn your horse around(ugh), giving your enemy a perfect oppurtunity to attack you. Other than that, riding the horse is an awesome experience. TP has a perfect balance of fun, action, and exploring. I wouldn’t reccomend this game for chidren 4,5,6,7,8, or 9 years old because it will probably be a little scary for them and way too difficult. Dungeons can get a little difficult and repetitive. Zelda fans will feel right at home with this game because the gameplay is still good and hasn’t changed much.

Difficulty- VERY HARD!!!!!!!!!!! The dungeons in this game are very complicated. Getting through them requires a lot of thinking. If you get stuck, got to ign.com. It has a complete walkthrough. I bet you will bonk yourself on the head when you realize how easy the dungeon really was.

Baddies- Another weak point. They haven’t changed at all from previous Zelda games. They are easy to fight and seem uninspired.

Overall, TP is an outstanding game. If you’re looking for a RPG that has a lot of action and will keep you busy, this game is for you. A MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for reading!!!

5 Stars Zelda – A Long Time Coming
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is the best Zelda came to his consoles since Super Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.I’m not going to write this review for noobs. For you die-hard Zelda fans out there, this is the cream of the crop. The items and weapons are awesome, with some old favorites and a few new goodies. The boss fights are incredible! It is obvious that the game makers took a lot of time on this one to make sure to get everything perfect, and when you play you will see their attention to detail and patience in release will keep you playing and playing.I recommend this title for Wii players above most other games available today – regardless if you are a Zelda player of the past or not. Come see what the talk is all about…
4 Stars Great game, but could be much better.
I’ve been a big Zelda fan since I was a kid. While I’ve always been okay with the generic Zelda formula in the past, I think that it’s about time for Nintendo to re-vamp things a bit. I’m okay with the graphics and controls in Twilight Princess. The main aspect I’d like to see worked on is the story. Let’s face it, the storyline of the Zelda series as a whole is a huge contradicting mess. Miyamoto claims that they all tie in together. But the more Zelda games that are released, the more I realize that continuity really isn’t their priority. Furthermore, each storyline is pretty much the same…or at least they all feel the same. I want to see romance, intriguing characters, depth. I want to see a complex story more along the lines of a Final Fantasy game. The way things are going right now, the series is getting mundane fast.I like the dungeons. The Zelda series has always been about puzzle-filled dungeons. But I found that some of the most fun I had in this game were the little side quests, such as the chase scene on horseback and the part where you protect the wagon from attack. I want to see more of that kind of stuff. Those moments were a huge breath of fresh air from the same old grind, but they were too few and far between.I know most of this review (if you can even call it that) just seems like a negative rant…which it mostly is. Sorry about that. On a whole, I enjoyed Twilight Princess. I especially like how you could use the Wii remote to aim your shots. While I do classify this as a great game, it really could be better. I really hope they decide to take a different approach in the future.
5 Stars Gripping
I hadn’t owned a video game system since super nintendo. I bought Twilight Princess with my Wii, and like a child, I became completely engrossed in the game (wife at my side) for almost a week straight. We had so much fun that we barely slept or ate.I felt the universe was beautifully designed and very well illustrated. It made for a lot of fun exploring and testing.Definitely what I was hoping for when I bought it.
