5 Stars My family loves this game!
My family loves playing this. I have a 30 yr old boyfriend and a 6yr old son and they play it for hours! They love opening the new tracks and vehicles and it is their favorite game!

4 Stars Fun for the whole family
Everybody in my house loves this game, even my three year old (though she rarely finishes a whole race. It’s been amazing to watch how quickly my six year old improves (though when he falls too far behind he starts getting silly and exploring the track/map instead of trying to catch up). I can’t compare the Wii version to others because it’s been 10+ years since I played it on Super Nintendo. The wheel helps the little ones, but is unnecessary for the more dextrous player. It does, however, make playing more fun for grown ups! BATTLE mode is far less fun that racing. Having to score high to unlock maps and vehicles gives the player a goal and a sense of accomplishment when reached, rather than just going around and around the tracks. My kids don’t mind repeating the initial tracks. In short… fun for the whole family

5 Stars The best MarioKart yet.
This game is great fun. With the ability to use Nintendo Wifi and challenge people across the world, this new MarioKart has become my favorite version of the game to date. Great selection of vehicles and levels of difficulty make this game fun for everyone. If you’re a fan of MarioKarts of old, or you have just been considering this game, I say go for it. You won’t be sorry.

5 Stars Mario Kart
Mario Kart is a great, fun game, but wait until you can get it for a reasonable price. I don’t care how hard it is to find, paying $129 for a $59 game is outrageous. Don’t reward these scalpers!

5 Stars Great fun for all
This is a great game for everyone in the family. With all the blood-n-guts in many games, it is nice to find one we all can enjoy.

5 Stars Rock Band 2
This game is great fun! I am 10 years old and enjoy it thoroughly. It is great for all ages and I can even see my dad singing. You can even customize your own character! The few problems would be the format, for example you can’t unlock new songs on quickplay, and you have to play unlocked songs on it (you need to unlock them on tour), and that the guitar is much easier than on guitar hero 3. Overall, I think it is a great choice and beats guitar hero. You can play in a band as well.

4 Stars Much better than the original Rock Band on Wii
Rock Band 2 is great for Wii. While the graphics are not as good as they are for the HD versions, the game still has all of the other features. Downloadable content is available and can be played from an SD card. I used Guitar Hero controllers (100% compatible) so I can’t tell you how the RB controllers are. My only complaint is that there are limited options when it comes to creating/editing band members and logos.

3 Stars Fun but Elitist
Rock Band II for the WII is fun and addictive but a step child to the others. Many small features (like crowd interaction) don’t exist or work as well. Very frustrating is that less than 10% of the 500 songs released on the XBox are released for WII. Most frustrating is that the game designers only release their music (punk and rock). There are 0/500 R&B and country songs. Rock has its roots in these genres. There are challenging rhythms missing for the drums and Rock Band’s bass guitar is also hopelessly not worth playing without it.

5 Stars Even better the second time around.
I really enjoy playing RB2. And since you can use the GHWT instruments (Wii) on RB2 it’s even better. Nice game play, nice song choices. Overall a really fun game. I don’t like it quite as much as GHWT, but it’s not far off. If you liked the first one, then this one is must have.

5 Stars excellent game and the hardware is working better than expected
I was concerned that the hardware may fail but RB2 hardware seems to be higher quality than the original equipment.

The game is entertaining and a good way to keep your brain active and unwind after work.

Everyone can play this game, even if they don’t like video games.

4 Stars Loads of fun.
I have been looking for a pinball game for my computer that was compatible with Windows Vista for about two years. I’m extremely satisfied with Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection.

4 Stars Pinball Hall of Fame
Very interesting and realistic game, with incredible accuracy. Ten classic pinball games and you only pay for one.

5 Stars fun for older people too
I’m in my 50’s and I wanted to get a game for entertainment. No grandkids around either. Growing up we didn’t have the video games. Real pinball was one of the things we had for entertainment. I got this and it is just as much fun as the real pinball machines and I don’t have to pay to play. It works pretty much like the real pinball. I bought this from Amazon not from the people selling for cheaper.

5 Stars If I could just have all those quarters back!
I got this game for the wii and it is outstanding! I’ve played many other pinball video games before and they all feel & play closer to video games than the actual pinball machines I grew up with. This game is very close to the real thing and with the wii version, its very natural to add table bumps….just watch out for the TILT.

The machines included on the game are exact copies of classic Williams games that run the gambit from very simple early machines to more recent machines (skill shots, multi-ball, etc) The tournament and challenge modes also add a lot of solid game play excitement beyond just “playing pinball”.

If you like to play real pinball and dropped a lot of spare change into these machines during the 80’s, you’ll definitely like this game. I highly recommend the wii version since the controls and table bumping are almost exactly like the real thing.

5 Stars Too Cool
Real simple old style pinball..This game is a hit and a cool addition to any game library.. This is a game you could play for countless hours over its lifetime and it doesnt get old. Great game and a great deal

5 Stars My son’s new favorite game
We gave this game to our 9-year-old son for his new Wii. It has quickly become his favorite game. He started out with the 5 on 5 play setting which helped him learn the skills without being overwhelmed by an entire field full of players. After he mastered this, I convinced him to try the regular game. We love to play it together now, and it was a good transition from the 5 on 5. This is what I would recommend for younger players. If your child is a football fan, they will enjoy choosing favorite teams and seeing famous players’ names on the jerseys too!

5 Stars Very nice game!
It is really fun to play the game and it has very nice graphics. Controls are not that hard to play. You can “Call your shots” on passing plays.Running controls are also very easy. The 5on5 mode is great for practicing. At the 5on5 mode you have to go for 4th down. You can also trade players, view rosters, release players and sign players. Play a party with up to 4 players. There are a lot of games to choose from in the party mode. You can also learn how to play football like practice throwing, receiving, running and a lot more. You can play a practice game. There is one mode called situation mode, where you can choose what the score is,which quarter you are in and a lot more.Great game for all football fans!

5 Stars a wife speaks out
I hate this game! As soon as my husband begins playing it, I must leave the room. He becomes so engrossed & intense in the game I take the dogs upstairs & read.

An hour to 2 hours later, he comes to bed refreshed, smiling, relaxed & wanting to tell me all about the game he just played. (He has yet to lose to another team.) Just what I want to hear all about @ the end of the day, right. My suggestion, don’t let your husband purchase this game. You won’t be able to deal w/ a relaxed, refreshed husband.

5 Stars My kids love this game
I purchased Madden 09 for my 3 boys for Christmas and they can’t stop playing it. The controls are real easy for them and they can play on the same team or against each other. I highly recommend it.

2 Stars Underwhelms
Madden ‘09 for Wii described in two words: cheap product.

I own Madden 2007-2009 for the Wii system, and both the 2008 and 2009 versions are collecting dust in my cabinet. 2009 doesn’t seem to add anything at all to the 2008 version except for gimmick concepts affectionately titled “All-play”. Combine this with the fact that the 2008 is basically a stripped down version of 2007 with poor controls and worse graphics… Seems like Madden has become a franchise that is cashing in on the loyal fanbase rather than focusing on putting up a new innovative title each year.

The game has gone downhill in each successive version for the Wii. The graphics incredible have gotten worse over time. With a component cable, in the 2007 version at least I can pretend I am getting a graphical experience similar to Xbox or PS3, but in the 2008/09 versions there is no attempt at even making this game look realistic anymore. Seriously, the PS2 looks better than these versions.

In 2008-09, the controls are mapped poorly and they are less intuitive. The one main difference in the Wii version of Madden is the Wiimote and nunchuck action and the newer versions downgrade this experience significantly.

To sum it up, the franchise and the product overall have gone dowhill in recent years. And the polished has a less finished and polished look overall when you compare it to other systems or even a previous version no the same system. For me, this is an unacceptable change and I will no longer religiously buy the newest and “best” Madden when it comes out in the future for the Wii.

If gimmicks such as “all-play” are your thing, rate this 5 stars and move on. You can easily get your moneys worth while you shake your controller to power up during endzone dances, right?
