Nintendo Wii Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Kit

Start a Band…the Guitar Hero Way

Guitar Hero World Tour transforms music gaming by expanding Guitar Hero’s signature guitar gameplay into a cooperative band experience that combines advanced wireless instruments with online and offline gameplay modes including online Band Career and 8-player “Battle of the Bands,” which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online. The game features a slick redesigned guitar as well as a Music Studio music creator that lets players compose, record, edit and share their own rock ‘n’ roll anthems.

*Note: The drum kit controller and microphone are sold seperately.

Wireless Instruments

New to GHWT is a redesigned, more responsive guitar controller, which features a touch-sensitive slide bar on the neck that allows the player to play through certain song passages without needing to strum.

Be the Next Great Songwriter

Music Studio lets players express their musical creativity by giving them access to a full complement of tools to create digital music from scratch utilizing the guitar controller and drum kit. Players can create their tracks and then play them in-game or share the recordings with the entire Guitar Hero community through GHTunes. GHTunes allows other gamers from around the world to download and play the community’s original tracks.

Create the Band

Budding rock stars can live out their rock ‘n’ roll fantasies by playing either a single instrument or any combination of instruments, in addition to the full band experience. When rocking as part of a band, up to four players can jam together in quickplay or as they progress through a career. Both band and single-player careers feature non-linear progression giving artists the option to change difficulty and instruments with a variety of different gigs available at any time.

Never Jam Solo Again

Virtual musicians in need of band mates can take their careers online forming worldwide ensembles so no rock star ever has to play a gig solo. Plus, GHWT adds a “Battle of the Bands” modes, which allows eight players to join online and challenge each other band-to-band to establish global supremacy.

A Game Play Mode Just for the Wii

Jump into the “Mii Freestyle” game play mode that is unique to the Wii. Create Blues, Rock or Metal masterpieces by yourself, or join with friends to jam freely together on guitar controllers and the drum kit controller.

Customize Everything

The character creator allows gamers to create a rock star with style as unique as their own. Absolute customization from the clothes, to the facial and body structure, to the tattoos and accessories, players are encouraged to unleash their inner rock legend. The Rock Star Creator doesn’t just allow players to build the ultimate rock god; the in-depth creators include the ability to customize guitars, drums and microphones. Adding yet another layer of personalization, gamers can create custom logos for their instruments, band, or album covers.

A Set List for the Ages

The Guitar Hero World Tour set list is comprised entirely of master recordings from some of the greatest artists of all-time including Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles, and Sublime. There are over 85 tracks, plus frequent downloadable singles and track packs. In addition to the killer track list, the game will feature rock icons such as Hayley Williams of Paramore and Travis Barker of +44 and blink-182.

5 Stars Fun for girls too!
I never thought that I would be coordinated enough to play guitar. This game gives me hope! The training sessions in Guitar Hero are invaluable and works like a charm. I’m not an “expert”, but at least I can keep up and compete with all 3 of my brothers! Even though I am not a “rock” person, I found a good number of songs that I recognized and like. I actually bought the complete band kit for my little brother and confirmed that I liked the game for myself. Since I already had a microphone from another Wii game and have not conquered the drums yet, I decided to only get the Guitar Kit. The guitar does not take up that much room compared to drums. I wish that Nintendo would sell the guitars separately as a spare so that I can go to head to head with a friend. Otherwise I have to play with others who already own the game and have their own guitar. Anyhow, I do have to say that this is another refreshing game that does not use the old fashioned controller. The graphics are great and much better than it’s competitor. Your Mii character can only be used in one small part of the game, jam session, so I hope that expand that capability to the rest of the game in the future. I definitely recommend this game!

5 Stars Guitar Hero World Tour
This game is awesome, my buddy and I played for over 3 hrs the other night…time flies when you’re having fun!!!

5 Stars Awesome game!
This game is great! It has great songs, lots of new features, and the Guitar controller has some improved features. The game allows you to play up to 6 songs in a set without having to go back to the menu. It also allows you to choose sets on the way to unlocking more songs. There are a lot of classic songs to play as well as some new hits. If you haven’t tried guitar hero yet but would like to, this is the game to start with.

3 Stars Be careful when buying this!
Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Kit for Wii

This is an excellent game….with one major problem….

The mechanism used to make the guitar has one fault…the strum bar has given a lot of ppl including myself a lot of grief. The game itself is a masterpiece and I adored playing it however after about 3 1/2 weeks of playing it it stopped registering my down strokes. This is a common problem (you can search it and see).

On the other hand there are ppl who’ve purchased it and had no problems so it’s a luck and chance thing I guess. Good Luck to those of you who decide to buy it. I hope you have better luck than I did.

5 Stars Great purchase!
I bought this for my boyfriend, it arrived at my house within 48 hours of ordering it, and he absolutely loves it. The one problem we had was finding all of the songs advertised on the box, but we quickly realized that once you start a “career” there are tons of additional songs that become available. The game is great, and doesn’t get old like some of the other Wii games we’ve tried.

1 Star Really bad instructions and slow response
Very disappointed in this game. Poor graphics, really bad instructions and slow response time. Multiplayer option does not work properly.

1 Star I wish I read the reviews first
I like Jillian on Biggest Loser, but the game is horrible. I wish I looked at the reviews here first. I thought it was just me, but the game is boring and slow to respond. The regular Wii fit games are a million times better. Save your money and use the ones that come with the Wii fit until some good ones come along.

5 Stars Great Fitness Game
To me this game is fun and also very motivating, and you really do get a good workout. I’m not sure if the people with the bad reviews are not comprehending the directions correctly or what, but I do know before you even do the workout it tells you and demonstrate the movement before you start to workout. This game is awesome. I’ve had this game for only two weeks now and already have lost 8lbs, working out in the weight lose session of this video game. I guess everybody is different. I give this game two thumbs up!!!!!!

5 Stars I hated it at first.
Like just about every reviewer of this game, I originally hated it. It doesn’t respond well at all to the balance board and it’s not very appealing visually. I kind of forgot about it for a few weeks and kept on with just Wii Fit. A few days ago, I picked this one back up and tried it without using the balance board and just using two controllers, instead. Major difference. The exercises are much more challenging than the ones on the Wii Fit and I actually work up a sweat in a fairly short amount of time. I’ve seen a drastic improvement in myself in just a couple of days. I barely use my Wii Fit anymore. Sure, the visual part still is terrible, but I get past that by watching either a DVD on my computer or shows on Hulu.

If you have this and hated it, try it without the balance board. It makes a world of difference.

1 Star TERRIBLE!
I wish I would have read the reviews prior to buying! I didn’t even like giving it a 1 star review! I even wrote the company to express the dissatisfaction. And no response was written back. They obviously got there money and really don’t care. I wouldn’t even give this game away, and it’s sad to think it is going to take up space in the landfill.

Mario Super Sluggers

Whether a diehard fan of the Grand Old Game, or someone who has never even seen a ball, bat or glove in your life, Mario Super Sluggers turns your living room into a rocking, socking baseball extravaganza. Staring the ever-lovable Mario and over 40 of his friends from the Nintendo universe, Mario Super Sluggers builds on the social-gaming fun and movements millions have learned from playing Wii Sports and turns even newcomers to gaming or sports titles into full-fledged baseball fanatics in a matter of minutes.

Gameplay
Set in the diverse environments of ‘Baseball Kingdom,’ this is a game that is easy to learn and compulsively addictive, but that also can be made to be as challenging as you want it to be. When you are a rookie go on the offensive by swinging the Wii Remote to smack singles, doubles, triples or even home runs; while when playing defense simulating a pitching motion to toss the ball over the plate. As you grow more confident in your skills, you can choose to attach a nunchuck controller while playing defense to control outfielders for an extra challenge. And regardless at what level you play at always remember that Mario Super Sluggers‘ nine mini-games are always an option. So, when you need a break from organized play, just grab a few friends and take the mound in a pitching challenge or swing for the fences in the home run derby.

In addition, since Mario Super Sluggers supports up to four players, with enough controllers, you can go two on two in epic battles. As you traverse the Baseball Kingdom, put together your “all star” team made up of your favorite Nintendo characters including the games five captains. Each of these has different abilities and temperament making them as valuable as they are difficult in the right or wrong situation. The result is a take on the American Pastime that you and your family will have a hard time putting down.

Multiple Game Modes
Baseball should be a social game, so whether you are by yourself or surrounded by friends, there’s a Mario Super Sluggers game for every occasion.

  • Challenge: Trek across Baseball Kingdom in this singleplayer. mode. Defeat characters in a variety of baseball-related challenges to persuade them to join your team. Once you’ve assembled an all-star team for the ages, throw down with the baddest baseballer in town: Bowser! The singleplayer. Challenge Mode is a sports fan’s dream.
  • Explore the rich and varied landscape of Baseball Kingdom as you gather teammates for your fight against Bowser. From lush tropical jungles to modern urban landscapes, each area of the kingdom is a new experience.
  • Like high-powered free agents, the characters in Mario Super Sluggers won’t join just any old team-they want to play for a winner. When you find a new character, he or she will test your skills on the field. Only by besting them in hitting, pitching and fielding contests can you get them to join your side.
  • In Challenge Mode, you can control one of five captains, each with personal special powers. Yoshi can jump through manholes, Wario has the power of magnetism and Donkey Kong can climb vines and shatter barrels.
  • Exhibition: Hit the field and try your luck with a team of your choice. You can play against either the computer or up to three other players.
  • Mini-game: Challenge yourself or take on up to three other players in nine mini-games. From home run contests to pitching duels, you’ll have more fun than a rookie at his first spring training.
  • Toy Field: Battle against three other players in a hitting and fielding extravaganza. You can set your turn limit and the skill level of your computer opponents, or just play against friends.
  • Training: Learn the ropes in an extensive tutorial mode.
  • Special Powers, Weapons, Moves & Features
Mario Super Sluggers isn’t your typical baseball game. From special moves to obstacle-filled stadiums, there’s always something new around the corner for players on the field to deal with. Just a few of the goodies you’ll find out on it’s fields of play are:

    • Special Moves: All of the captains have unique Star Skills that allow them to perform special moves while pitching or batting. Mario can turn his fastball into a fireball, Daisy can create a flower garden in the outfield and Luigi can turn infield hits into a raging tornado. Non-captains can also use Star Skills to put a little extra mustard on hits or pitches.
    • Chemistry: Just as in real sports, certain characters in Mario Super Sluggers have a special connection on the field. Known as chemistry, this connection allows players to make spectacular leaping catches, gun down speedy base runners and use items to interfere with fielders.
    • Stadiums: There are nine unique stadiums in the game, everything from an ice-filled castle to an urban cityscape. Many stadiums can be accessed at both day and night, allowing you to play a doubleheader under the lights.
    • Wii Nunchuk: Experienced gamers can also attach the Nunchuk controller for a more advanced gaming experience.

This game was great! A lot of fun, my daughter enjoys it and that’s all that counts for me!! Easy to play which is good, tired of games with all the button mashing and joystick twisting.

5 Stars grandslam of a game
I got this game for Christmas and it was perfect! I started with learning the basics and then played a rookie-leveled ballgame (as the team Mario Fireballs) and won. Then I tried the challenge mode where Peach builds a baseball island with 5 different stadiums for 5 different characters and then Bowser Jr. takes over all the ballparks and you must defeat him at baseball.

    The graphics are so GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

It also has so many different features that I want YOU to see them for yourself!!!!!!!! (My first review)

    User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Son loves this game
I got this game because my son (who just turned 3) likes the Link Crossbow Training. He likes this game and the Nerf gun that holds the Wii remote.

It’s a good game that he can play with his 4 year old sister.

It’s challenging enough that Dad can’t just beat the game. I have a gold AK in modern warfare so I consider myself a decent gaming marksman.

This is a good game with well mad good functioning guns that you don’t have to remove the strap to use. They are prefect for Kid’s hands.

The guns are a little small for man hands, but a modified Magnum works OK. I only play kid’s games on the Wii. The zapper works fine, but the kids like the Nerf guns. My son like that he can play with a gun like the dart gun he has.

It’s a bit harder than Link, but they will grow into it.

    4 Stars Shooting Fun!
The premise of this game is to go through different kinds of shooting games and beat the top score of your “competitor” to reach the next level. At each level you do the same thing again, except that it gets harder and harder, and the one new thing that happens is that you “unlock” new nerf weapons along the way.

On the whole, it’s a lot of fun to shoot at the targets (which are all robots), and as far as shooting games are concerned, it’s as family-oriented as it gets. You can play to increase your character level or play in competition against other players to see who can get a better score.

While my kids really like this game (as do I), it’s the type of game where you play it a lot for a while, but then have put it down in favor of something else for a while. Then, once the repetitiveness doesn’t have you turned off anymore, you’re ready to play it non-stop again for several days or maybe weeks. In the long run, you never really get tired of it.

    5 Stars A surprise hit!
My 10yr. old son and his friends love this game. You can play with just the wii remote but the kids think it’s more fun with the gun so we bought an extra from Amazon after Christmas. I like the fact that it’s shooting at blocks and robots instead of other “people”. Nothing high-tech about it but there’s plenty of fun for the kids.

    5 Stars Nerf Wii
Amazon has the best price on the Nerf-N-Strike bundle. Kids and adults love this game. Highly recommend adding to your Wii library.

5 Stars Very happy with it
I was very please with the product, I got it very fast and it was exactly what I wanted.

    Universal Microphone Stand

Quick insert/release microphone clip, Includes controller clips for Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2 controllers, Durable aluminum construction, Height-adjustable from 38-53 in. (97-135 cm), Microphone cable clip prevents tangles, Wide-stance tripod base maintains stability

    User Ratings and Reviews

    5 Stars Madcatz Mic Stand
Universal Microphone Stand This stand is a must-have for anyone who likes to play Rock Band or any other music game. It is extremely compact and easy to store, while realistic and fun. It also comes with holders for any system that music games support, which is fantastic if you are singing and playing guitar at the same time. Overall, this is an awesome, high quality, and inexpensive product that I would recommend to anyone!

    5 Stars Great!
With the microphone stand, we can play drums and sing at the same time! It’s adjustable so we also use it to sing and play guitar together, too.

5 Stars Fantastic. Brilliant that it holds the controller.
This is a microphone stand, so there’s really not much to describe. Unlike typical microphone stands, the part that holds the mic on this one is actually just a plastic clip. It’s made to accommodate different types of mics, but it holds the mic well. The stand itself is made of metal and it folds up nicely to put away in the corner.

What makes this stand stand out (no pun intended) is the clips that it comes with to attach the controller to so that your singer doesn’t have to go fishing around when it’s time to select the difficulty. It’s the next best thing to actually having the buttons on the mic itself.

I have an Xbox 360, and the clip holds the controller very well. I have the keyboard attachment on the controller, so I have to remove it in order to place it in the clip, but it’s not a big deal. I could always just use a different controller.

Anyway, this stand now allows us to play guitar and sing at the same time, which is pretty fun. I am very pleased.

    4 Stars Good microphone
This microphone will allow you to play guitar and even drums, with some work while singing. Playing the drums takes some work without an extension pole to adjust the distance of the mic from the singer but this is for a video gamer not a professional performer. Set up was very easy and the stand is well balanced. I’m very happy with my purchase.

    4 Stars satisfied
I am satisfied with this product. It has held up well. We have some pretty heavy rockers that have put this to the test.
